  We begin with how the home is actually used: arrivals, school runs, contractors, entertaining, travel. Recommendations follow the pattern of life, not a catalogue of hardware.

• Layered, not theatrical

  Perimeter, building, technology and people are treated as one system. Where a physical presence is warranted it is discreet; where technology is enough, we say so.

• Family, staff, visitors

  Procedures only work if the people inside the house can live with them. Briefings are practical, short and written for the household — not for a control room.
